Terms and Conditions
JOHNSON & JOHNSON CONSUMER INC. AFRICA INNOVATION CHALLENGE (“AIC”) APPLICATION TERMS
By submitting requested information (“Application”) as part of this AIC, you on behalf of yourself and your company (“Applicant”) agree to abide by these Application Terms (the “Terms”), the terms and conditions of our vendor, SurveyMonkey, and the decisions of Johnson & Johnson Consumer Inc. (“JJC”) on this AIC, which shall be final and binding in all respects.
By submitting an Application, Applicants warrant that no information provided as part of the Application IS OR can be deemed confidential OR proprietary, considered a trade secret or privileged.
The AIC will be announced via email, press release and/or a social media post (collectively, the “AIC Announcements”). An AIC Announcement will include how to apply, the application deadline and the award for that AIC. All information contained in an AIC Announcement is incorporated herein by reference. To the extent that there is a conflict between an AIC provision of the AIC Announcement and these Terms, these Terms shall prevail with respect to such provision.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE:
Citizens and permanent residents of African Countries can apply. Applications should only be submitted by authorized representatives of the Applicant applying for the AIC. To qualify, each Applicant must submit an innovative idea in at least one of the following three categories:
- Support for Rural Clinics
Rural clinics and hospitals play an important role in the health care of local communities and the management of pandemic spread of diseases; however, they are generally less equipped than health care facilities in urban settings. We are seeking innovations that can address shortages and limitations in essential medical equipment and diagnostics for rural healthcare centers.
- Training & Education for Health Workers
Health Care Workers will be the first line of defense in the next pandemic. We are seeking innovations that can increase pandemic preparedness among Community Health Workers.
- Health Information Services
Information technology can improve access to appropriate health care and can supply crucial information in tracking supplies and localized disease outbreaks. We are seeking innovations that utilize Information Communication Technology or Artificial Intelligence to deliver telemedicine and mobile diagnostic tools, that can keep secure electronic health records and track medical supply chains, and could inform about outbreaks of diseases.
Applicants are responsible for complying with any company policies related to participating in programs of this nature, including, but not limited to obtaining any necessary permissions from their company to participate and to provide the information required for the Application and to submit it.
